Happy Earth Day from RM COCO! We love a day dedicated to Mother Earth, and we hope you’re treating her extra special today! But just like your own mom, the earth deserves to be treated well every day! We here at RM COCO take our sustainability efforts very seriously, and we wanted to share our efforts to make this world a healthier, cleaner, and happier place with you! And maybe you’ll be inspired to be a little greener too!
Our Sustainable Collections!
We have several collections of sustainable, organic, and recycled fabrics, the newest of which is our Organic Classics collection! These fabrics, and all of our recycled fabrics, help reduce the carbon footprint that comes from textile mills. We have fabrics that are 100% organic cotton, fabrics that are made from recycled plastic bottles, fabrics that processed and dyed with eco-friendly and sustainable processes, and more!
We've Gone Solar!
We are also excited and proud to share that our corporate office and Custom Creations workroom are now partially solar powered! We are excited to incorporate this environmentally friendly energy source into our daily operations, with 303 panels installed on our roof. That’s right…303 panels!! And they’re doing a lot! Over the next 30 years, these panels have an estimated carbon offset of 3,604 TONS of CO2…that’s the environmental equivalent of planting 59,600 trees or taking 8,944,256 miles off the road. These solar panels are a continuation of the RM COCO legacy of caring for and protecting our environment, and we’re excited to see where the future takes us. As our CEO and President Mike Carr so elegantly put it: “Our environmental impact has always been at the forefront of our minds, and is the reason we have continued to increase our investment in environmentally friendly fabrics that are sustainable, organic, and/or recycled. We are excited to take this next impactful step towards being a more sustainable company.”
Exclusive & Recycled COCO Deco Hardware!
Our exclusive COCO Deco hardware is made of recycled material, and shipped in eco-friendly packaging! With this line, we have all but eliminated our use of harmful plastics and resins by making our COCO Deco Drapery Hardware products from recycled metals and glass!
